On sunny Kota Batu

A NEW BEGINNING - This is my last journal from Brunei. Before I started packing up the house, I was not ready to leave but living without curtains and surrounded by boxes soon changed that. Now I want to join my team. I have two more days of being a teacher, then 14 months as a sailor. I can't wait!

LAUNCH - The Isle of Man has been launched and is being prepared for sea. Pictures coming soon!

THANKS - I owe my thanks to so many individuals and groups of people so far: to the Royal Brunei Yacht Club for sponsoring this website; to the Mabohai Club for sponsoring my membership this year; to C f BT Education Services (my employer) for sponsorship and marvellous office support; to all those individuals who have sponsored me via Days at Sea so far; to Luca Passarelli for his continuing support and advice on this website; to the ladies of the BLT CoffeePlus who welcomed me so warmly when I started giving talks about the race some months ago; to the schools who have listened to me in Brunei, namely SM PIHM, Jerudong International School, Maktab Duli, International School Brunei, SM Berakas and last but not least, the enthusiastic students from  Maktab Sains who have already created folders full of their pre-race preparation.

All of this support and interest is very valuable to me. It would be impossible to thank everyone.  Let us just say that, dear reader, if YOU have helped me in any way -  thank you so much, I can't begin to tell you how much I have appreciated it.
